Woodys presents Outsiders, a campaign in which they describe the protagonists as mysterious and enigmatic beings with an eccentric and refined style.
The campaign reveals the models in the new collection including the relaunch of two of the label’s most iconic models: the style PANOS, a men’s sunglass style and model BEE, a combination model designed for women. Both styles are described as retaining their original structure while the colours are updated to create a renewed version that is more expressive of the Woodys DNA. With the two updated models, the collection consists of a total of 39 frames for women and men, produced in high quality acetate, bio acetate and recycled acetate from Mazzucchelli.
According to Woodys, among the most technical novelties are the new development of more resistant and sophisticated German temples and hinges and the incorporation of larger nose pads in the metal models for greater comfort. In response to market needs, the company has enlarged the sizes of the sun models. All the sunglasses have polarized sun lenses produced by Carl Zeiss offering UVA/B protection and anti-reflective, anti-scratch coatings. The Woodys team states that the company is focusing more and more on sustainability and eco and recycled materials. Currently, 40% of the collection is manufactured with bio acetate, a material made from plant-based resins.
