VALLON has announced a new partnership with CleanHub to continue its plastic clean-up commitment – pledging 1 kilogram of plastic waste is collected and recycled for every pair of eyewear sold. Rooted in their connection to the outdoors, the partnership reflects VALLON’s belief that gear designed to last a lifetime should also contribute to protecting the environment. The commitment is part of VALLON’s existing sustainability efforts. As part of this ongoing mission, VALLON has transitioned from its previous partnership with Empower to a new collaboration with CleanHub, enabling the brand to continue its plastic recovery program. To date, VALLON states it has collected more than 202,000 kg of plastic waste, estimated at more than 10,000,000 plastic bottles.

CleanHub operates a digital track-and-trace system that monitors plastic waste, from collection, through to sorting, and responsible processing. Their methodology is independently verified by TÜV SÜD, and VALLON customers receive post-purchase updates detailing the cumulative plastic recovery progress that their purchase has supported. Working with CleanHub, VALLON’s recovery efforts are focused on CleanHub’s Clean Kerala project in southwestern India – a coastal region historically affected by insufficient waste management infrastructure. The initiative delivers door-to-door waste collection services in local villages, preventing plastic from entering the coastal ecosystems, or being openly burned.
