TOMMY HILFIGER co-designs optical frame

Tommy Hilfiger, which is part of PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], unveils the MR HILFIGER 01 optical frame, a premium style personally co-designed by Mr. Tommy Hilfiger. Inspired by the eyewear he wears himself, the style brings his distinctive approach to classic American prep into the Tommy Hilfiger eyewear collection. Created as a timeless expression of the brand’s Classic American Cool vision, the frame blends heritage inspiration, craftsmanship and signature design codes.  Tommy wore the MR. HILFIGER 01 at the brand’s Spring 2027 runway show at The Plaza during New York Fashion Week. The setting made the moment especially personal as he lived at the landmark hotel with his family for more than a decade, and has long drawn inspiration from its architecture, history and the extraordinary people who have passed through its revolving doors. As the collection reimagined Tommy icons in the heart of Manhattan, the frames offered another expression of Hilfiger’s personal design perspective — this time, through a style he wears himself.

“I’ve always believed the classics become most interesting when you make them your own,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Eyewear is very personal — it’s part of how you see the world and says something about your point of view.

Inspired by vintage eyewear, the MR. HILFIGER 01 reworks the classic Wellington shape with contemporary proportions. Softly rounded lenses are framed by bold acetate volumes and sculpted temples, creating a compact silhouette that reflects Mr. Hilfiger’s own approach to dressing. Crafted in full acetate and offered in four colourways, the frame brings TOMMY HILFIGER signatures into the details. The metal Flag logo is finished with red, white and blue enamel, while laminated stripes appear on the left temple tip — an asymmetric expression of the brand’s signature Tommy twist.

Designed and manufactured by Safilo Group, under license from Tommy Hilfiger, the MR HILFIGER 01 optical frame is available on tommy.com, in TOMMY HILFIGER stores, and in selected eyewear stores worldwide.
