THOM BROWNE EYEWEAR celebrates 20th anniversary

Thom Browne celebrates twenty years of activity by reissuing the iconic tb-001 eyewear model. This sophisticated version of mid-century safety glasses, plated in 18 carat gold, evokes the American nostalgia inherent in the brand’s DNA. Accompanied by a hand-numbered certificate and a pebbled leather case with rivets reminiscent of the bag, Mr thom, the brand has released 500 limited edition pieces available worldwide in Thom Browne stores and online.

Completely handmade in Japan, the glasses are made of titanium, a bright, resistant and flexible material that is twice as light as steel. The gold frame is complemented by temples with red, white and blue tips that wrap around the ear and perforated side shields that fold inwards for easy storage of the glasses. They also feature a Tokyo tortoise browbar and nose pads engraved with the four bars.

Each fame comes with three pairs of interchangeable lenses in gold, green and blue. Made of silica, sand and limestone, the three pairs of lenses ensure superior optical performance and scratch resistance, the brand states. Designed for customers who love collectibles, these glasses combine traditional techniques and materials with cutting-edge technology.
