A few months after Thélios acquired the former Safilo factory in Longarone, the company has confirmed in a statement that it has almost completed a project for the absorption of approximately 250 workers to join its team, ahead of the deadlines set out in the industrial plan.
Thélios has also reiterated that it has committed to the region with the announcement of its investment plan for the renovation of the metal processing complex for the production of frames for the Maisons of the LVMH Group. The factory is now employing a workforce of 1300.
“We are very satisfied to have completed the process of hiring workers well in advance of what was initially envisaged in the industrial plan”, stated Alessandro Zanardo, CEO of Thélios. “The constant growth in demand for Thélios’ made-in-Italy, high-quality eyewear collections and Thélios’ great commitment to reactivating production in the acquired premises have made it possible to reabsorb people significantly more quickly”.
“Furthermore”, he continued, “we are pleased to now start the renovation works on the factory which will allow us to further improve the organization of the spaces and enhance the structure adjacent to the Thélios main headquarters. A strong signal that intends to demonstrate once again the Group’s desire to continue to focus on the territory and to safeguard the unique know-how present in the Belluno district”.
The renovation project will concern both the external facades of the building and the internal surface area of approximately 20 thousand square meters and will make it possible to align the architectural style of the factory with that of the main manufacturing site inaugurated in 2018. The renovation works will take place in successive phases, allowing for the continuation of production without any interruption.
