Thélios announces that the prototype designer Daniele Capuzzo is the new Virtuoso awarded by LVMH as part of the Métiers d’Excellence initiative, a programme born in 2014 which aims to promote and make the public aware of the value of the 280 artisanal crafts that characterize the fine workmanship of the Group’s Maisons around the world.
The event celebrating the professionalism and skills of Daniele Capuzzo from Padua, took place in Florence on the occasion of the Show Me event, at the former Manifattura Tabacchi, the new Italian headquarters of the Istituto dei Métiers d ‘Excellence by LVMH.
A member of Thélios’ prototype team at the Padua headquarters, Daniele is one of the leading figures in terms of manual skill and artisan expertise.
With over ten years of experience in the craftsmanship of eyeglass frames, he stands out for his proactivity, collaborative approach and dedication to training new resources, the company states. Having graduated from the Liceo Artistico “Pietro Selvatico” in Padua, an historic art institute with a specific vocation for contemporary goldsmithing, Capuzzo started his career as a laboratory assistant and then became a goldsmith teacher for about six years, prior to his position at Thélios.
