SILMO organisers highlight SILMO NEXT

SILMO Paris, taking place 26th to 29th September 2025 at Paris Nord Villepinte will return with a new edition of SILMO NEXT during the show, the “forward-thinking” space dedicated to innovations for the future.
Created in 2017, SILMO Next is described by the organisers as “a pioneering cornerstone of SILMO where forward-looking insights, technological innovation, and visionary design intersect.” Conceived from the outset as a space for collective foresight, it embodies SILMO’s commitment to supporting professionals and guiding the transformations of the optics and eyewear industry over the long term.
SILMO Next continues to look further ahead in 2025. Throughout the year, the SILMO Next Expert Committee conducts ongoing monitoring and forward-thinking analysis. Meeting regularly in dedicated work sessions, these specialists—designers, researchers, opticians, entrepreneurs, and experts in new technologies—share their perspectives and pool their expertise to identify emerging trends and define key content areas to explore.
Their reflections come to life through the development of conferences, practical workshops, and forward-looking content, presented during the trade fairs and throughout the year.
At the heart of the trade fair, the Futurology space offers a unique chance to explore the future of optics, the organisers say, with topics such as smart materials, augmented reality, connected eyewear, artificial intelligence, and predictive visual health explored with an interactive focus, in collaboration with emerging start-ups and major industry players.
