RUDY PROJECT unveils Astral Arc

Rudy Project, the Italian specialist in Made-in-Italy performance eyewear and Official Eyewear Partner of the UTMB® World Series, introduces Astral Arc, a new model developed to deliver comfort, stability, and exceptional optical clarity for trail runners, road runners, cyclists, and triathletes. Drawing on Rudy Project’s experience in high-performance optical solutions, Astral Arc combines everything athletes need for daily training and the longest endurance competitions in a clean, essential design. At the heart of Astral Arc is a newly developed cylindrical lens (base 6), engineered to provide a more versatile and inclusive fit. Its geometry adapts naturally to a wide variety of face shapes, reducing pressure points even during the longest sessions. The result is eyewear that stays securely in place without compromising comfort, allowing athletes to focus entirely on the route ahead, regardless of distance or elevation gain. Weighing just 31 grams, Astral Arc is designed to feel almost imperceptible when worn – an essential advantage during long-distance activities.

The frame is made from Rilsan® Clear, a bio-based polymer containing 45% material derived from castor oil sourced through certified supply chains. Soft, flexible temples move naturally with the head without becoming rigid or restrictive.  This choice also reflects Rudy Project’s commitment to increasingly responsible solutions, without compromising the performance required by outdoor athletes. The fully adjustable nosepiece allows athletes to fine-tune the fit to their facial features while maintaining stability through even the most dynamic movements. Optically, the mirrored polycarbonate lens – available with a category 3 filter – provides protection against UV rays and flying debris while delivering clear, distortion-free vision. Like many of Rudy Project’s flagship models, Astral Arc is also compatible with an RX optical insert, allowing athletes who require vision correction to add prescription lenses without compromising ventilation, aesthetics, or performance.
