Rolf unveils thirteen brand-new styles from five distinct eyewear collections at Silmo in Paris this month. Inspired by the refined elegance and timeless romance of France, the Classics models feature eyewear designs that highlight a vintage-inspired, sophisticated aesthetic.
A refreshing twist of eyewear style with the typically understated and traditional design language of Rolf, Johannes Wacker, the designer behind Rolf’s eyewear, wanted to add an unexpected spin that expresses an enticing allure. “About a quarter of our new designs, which we’ve named Character, are bold, vibrant, and extravagant, perfectly matching the fashion capital – Paris. These pieces are for the courageous, fashion- forward wearers.”
The design language is such that it incorporates a wide range of looks. Some models are distinctly feminine, for instance, model Rita in the WIRE Collection and model Charlston in the EVOLVED Collection showcase soft, gentle curves of a rounded cat-eye. While angular, bold shapes featured in styles like model Viola from the FUSION Collection offer a strikingly masculine look with the mono bridge. Rolf also introduces unisex eyewear with subtle design, in classic silhouettes like Ural and rounded, panto model Sana from the SUBSTANCE Collection.
