RAEN announces Responsibility Campaign with BIO releases

As part of their Responsibility Campaign Raen Optics highlights the Raen Bio Acetate collection, a line which works with Mazzucchelli M49 Bio Acetate, a material that is biodegradable and compostable.
Instead of traditional petroleum-based plasticizers, this bio-based acetate uses natural materials and renewable sources to create a high-quality product that performs as well as any other acetates, states Raen. The US brand also incorporates new Zeiss Sustainable Polyamide lenses into the collection, which are made partially of bio-based materials and produce 50% less CO2 emissions in production. The Bio Acetate Collection by Raen has come to be seen as the latest evolution of the brand, which is pivoting to become more technical and sustainable, they say, allowing them to produce exceptional eyewear with a smaller carbon footprint.
