New collection released at MOVITRA

MOVITRA has released a brand new 6-piece Acetate Collection on the occasion of the SILMO Paris optical fair. The line features 3 Re-Founders Limited Edition designs and 3 main line frames, offering new streamlined styling – the result of a process of intense research and development to attain an extremely functional lightweight product. The brand explains that the rotation system has an even more sophisticated lightweight construction compared to earlier models in the collection, and features a new advanced feature highlighted, a new titanium bar. Created as Limited-Edition designs, the models AM 01 G (round), AM 02 F (squared pantos) and AM 03 D (classic pantos) feature metal temples. Based on 3 classic frames in the existing MOVITRA collection (the Founders Collection) – the new designs have been re-worked to feature the best product innovations of recent years, and in so doing, celebrate a new era of design innovation and technical achievement by the brand. The features are particularly technical, achieved through a process of advanced development by MOVITRA’s expert Italian production. In addition to the introduction of the new titanium bar behind the lenses, the three-dimensional detailing of the temples serves to widen the fit at the back of the frame, making the eyewear supremely comfortable, even for larger faces, says the company. This feature also gives structure to the metal in a similar way to the ridges on a hood of a car. The hinge has an anti-loosening system which consists of a screw and a bolt that constricts the hinge, preventing it from becoming loose. A further 3 main line designs, AC01, AC02 and AC03 are constructed with complex technical features to offer seamless lightweight acetate designs with exceptional functional properties, a state-of-the-art rotation system with lightweight titanium bar, and a host of custom features for an outstanding fit. All 3 models in this series benefit from custom bridge inserts and bolts, custom CNC milled endpieces and a custom spring hinge box built into the temple. MOVITRA’s signature hardware including torx screws, spring hinges and leather covered plates at the temple tip have also been incorporated into the new designs.
