The Austrian premium brand NEUBAU EYEWEAR has announced a new creative addition to its design team. In early 2024, eyewear designer Michael Hueyng joined the NEUBAU team, partnering creatively with designer Gabriel Kirschner.
Both designers have already made their mark in the lifestyle eyewear industry, producing ‘pioneering’ collections, developing patented technologies, and earning recognition for their award-winning designs. Kirschner, part of the team since 2020, has been shaping NEUBAU’s design language from early on, securing honours like the Silmo d’Or.
Michael Hueyng brings an impressive 12-years’ experience at renowned eyewear brands, as well as a deep understanding of design language and a fascination for minimalist aesthetics. His focus on holistic aesthetics and design, especially in material use, will also be incorporated into the upcoming NEUBAU collections.
“For me, functionality is also crucial to the success of a design. Ultimately, a design is made up of these two elements – aesthetics and functionality”, says Hueyng. “I see NEUBAU as a fashion brand with a high level of technical sophistication. Together with Gabriel, we have the vision of taking NEUBAU to the next level, staying true to our roots and evolving the brand’s identity”.
The company says that the collaboration between the two designers promises to push the boundaries of design and crafting unique designs that seamlessly blend innovation and aesthetics, at NEUBAU.
