Eyewear brand, MYKITA and Thélios, the eyewear entity of LVMH Group have announced that they have entered an agreement for a minority investment in MYKITA. This strategic step is currently subject to customary regulatory approvals, the press release states.
MYKITA will continue to operate with full independence in every aspect of its strategy, operations and creative process, from design conception to production and distribution.
According to the eyewear company, the development marks a significant moment of affirmation for the MYKITA brand and everything it has established in just over 20 years of business. They say the minority investment will strengthen MYKITA’s position as a global design and manufacturing house, to continue driving innovation and shaping the future of the eyewear category.
In a statement for 20/20 EUROPE, Moritz Krueger said: “We’re proud to have the trust and support of Thélios, the eyewear entity of LVMH, whose belief in our values and vision for the future is a true endorsement of the path that we continue to carve for ourselves”.
