MIDO 2027: the vision of ‘Eyewearland’

Following MIDO 2026, a new communication campaign was unveiled for the Milan event in 2027, featuring a surreal universe suspended between reality and imagination. MIDO 2027 will welcome the industry to Eyewearland, an immersive and poetic dimension where vision becomes a gateway to infinite possibilities. Conceived as an evolving world capable of generating new stories year after year, Eyewearland transforms eyewear into a narrative territory where imagination and industry meet. Created by digital artist Stella Stolkert under the creative direction of Max Galli for Mixer Group, the project presents enigmatic figures inspired by natural elements, evoking eyewear without ever representing it literally. More than a campaign, it is a declaration of identity: Eyewearland is MIDO itself, the only place where, for three days, the entire global supply chain gathers in one physical and cultural space.

MIDO 2026 Edition

The 2026 edition of MIDO confirmed its central role on the worldwide eyewear scene. Hosted at Fiera Milano Rho, the exhibition matched the strong results of the previous year despite a complex economic and geopolitical landscape, further influenced by the Winter Games, organisers said. Its performance demonstrated the resilience and global relevance of a sector that continues to innovate and expand. Approximately 42,000 attendees from more than 160 countries gathered across 7 halls and 8 exhibit areas, alongside 1,200 exhibitors – around 930 of them international. Over 16,000 exhibitor attendees further confirmed MIDO’s unique ability to represent the entire global supply chain, from materials and components to advanced technologies and finished products. Europe maintained solid participation, while Africa, the Middle East and Asia recorded particularly dynamic growth, highlighting expanding commercial opportunities. North America remained stable despite ongoing economic tensions, confirming the exhibition’s strategic importance worldwide. Media coverage was equally significant. More than 400 accredited journalists reported on the event, while digital reach increased by 35%, engaging over 3.5 million people across platforms. The official website recorded around 35,000 users, and 20 Vision Stage events were streamed in both Italian and English, extending MIDO’s cultural and educational impact well beyond the three exhibition days.

New dates for 2027

Following the momentum of 2026, MIDO returns from 6th to 8th February 2027, at Fiera Milano Rho, continuing to unite business, innovation and imagination in one shared global vision.
