MIDO 2025 takes place in less than 3 weeks

With less than three weeks to go before MIDO, the organisers confirm that 1,200 exhibitors, from manufacturers to start-ups are booked to take part. Collections and trends across the entire supply chain will be on show, with all the latest updates on the latest innovations.

MIDO attendees gain early access to emerging trends, to offer their customers cutting-edge solutions on a wide range of topics, from environmental impacts, advanced materials ensuring durability, colour palettes, smart eyewear and children’s eyewear, to name a few.

This year, MIDO unveils exciting layout innovations. Pavilion 6 will host the Academy, a growing Start-Up area, and a new square will be featured inspired by Italian village piazzas with a green theme. Pavilions 2 and 4 have been reorganize into the Design area for more exhibitors, larger stands, and new entries. A DaTE eyewear installation will also be included. The Fashion Square (Pavilion 1) has been redesigned for functionality while the Lenses area (Pavilion 3) and FAiR EAST (Pavilions 5, 7) will remain key attractions.

The renovated area dedicated to workshops, seminars, conferences and panels is The Vision Stage (Pavilion 1) featuring worldwide speakers on relevant industry topics such as inclusivity, sustainability, consumer trends, innovation, artificial intelligence, internationalization, digitization, made in Italy, health.

This year, MIDO is enhancing interactivity and accessibility with innovative digital tools including an App, now improved to enable networking even after the event and Dedicated Areas on the official website (www.mido.com/en/), offering exclusive content tailored to each visitor category.

A selection of awards will be announced at MIDO including The Best Store, featuring Best Store Design and Best Store Innovation; the CSE award, Certified Sustainable Eyewear, addressing the exhibitors that respect sustainability principles in the making of their glasses and cases. The Stand Up For Green award recognises the most eco-friendly booth and the Sergio Cereda Design award, honours emerging Italian talent in eyewear design.

According to the organisers, MIDO’s dynamic international context combines business opportunities with the cultural allure of Milan, providing opticians not only with valuable connections but also with inspiration from one of the world’s fashion capitals.
