KOMONO shows innovation in refinement of designs

KOMONO has announced a Spring/Summer 2026 collection featuring new sunglasses and opticals, described as a meeting of “refined design and contemporary innovation”. This season, the collection celebrates updated classic styles with sculpted details, and models with a timeless aesthetic, highlighting high-quality photochromic lenses and striking colour gradients. These gradients have been applied both vertically and horizontally for a subtle yet modern twist. Aviators are well represented in the line, reimagined with distinctive details that elevate the familiar silhouettes – features such as the double nose bridges and softly drooping eye shapes are introduced to add character without losing elegance. Material stories are explored to complement each other across the collection. Men’s metal frames are prominent and draw from industrial influences, featuring straight lines and sharp bevels. The women’s metal designs, by contrast, embrace soft, flowing lines, finished with elevated details such as the KOMONO logo which has subtly returned, featured in the hinge screws.
