Kirk & Kirk announce two new shapes in the Kaleidoscope Collection and two in the Contour Collection. Model Joel, a strong silhouette, plays to the chunky yet lightweight material, and model Ruth, a gently curved, sensuous form brings a new feminine dimension to the collection.
The Kaleidoscope Collection is the embodiment of everything that Kirk & Kirk represents, states Karen Kirk, Creative Director. Handcrafted from K-Lite™ material, a sheet material specially produced for Kirk & Kirk in Italy, these frames are “incredibly light and comfortable to wear, despite their powerful appearance”.
Creating their own materials means creating a unique colour palette allowing
the collection to stand out. “Working in K-Lite is like sculpting for me, says Karen Kirk. “The challenge for independent optical stores today is to distinguish themselves from their competitors and we aim to play an important role in achieving that.”
New for the Contour Collection, the models Thomas and Yvonne provide strong, confident direction. The fronts are handcrafted in lightweight K-Lite™, and are faceted to accentuate the unique qualities of this material. Model Yvonne is gently angular and the matt front plays with light and shade around the eye. Model Thomas is a large statement look which can be played down with a gentle colour tone or accentuated with some of the more vibrant tones in the Contour Collection.
