KIRK AND KIRK show two new styles in Paris

Handmade in France from Kirk and Kirk’s K-Lite™ material, the new models Falcon and Cat are described as “embodying the spirit of Karen Kirk’s design”. Each edge and angle has been polished by hand to accentuate the transmission of light. A new ‘Lagoon’ colourway plays to the strengths of the 10mm collection. The blues and greens enhance frames such as model Thor, previous winner of a Silmo d’Or, and model Blaze, a celebrity favourite.
Kirk and Kirk explain that their acrylic material K-Lite™ is more than just “aesthetically pleasing” – it is also functional, lightweight and therefore comfortable to wear. Created in sheet form and handmade into glasses in artisanal factories in France and Italy, the material represents a juxtaposition of futuristic technology and skilled handcraftsmanship, while offering a colour palette that is versatile, a characteristic that plays further to its strengths.
