KADOR unveils Premium Retro Bold collection

The Premium Collection by Kador continues to evolve with the introduction of Mondo Premium Retro Bold and Jolly Premium Retro Bold, two contemporary reinterpretations of some of the Italian label’s most successful and enduring bestsellers. Inspired by the original Mondo and Jolly, these new creations preserve the distinctive personality that made them iconic while embracing the craftsmanship, attention to detail and contemporary aesthetic that define the Premium Collection. The Mondo frame, with its charismatic round silhouette, has become one of Kador’s most recognisable designs, combining timeless proportions with a bold personality. Model Jolly, inspired by the elegant eyewear of the 1950s, stands out for its balanced lines and enduring appeal, making it one of the brand’s longest-standing successes. Their new Premium Retro Bold interpretation respects the essence of the original designs while introducing a stronger visual presence through sculptural volumes, refined detailing and contemporary proportions.
The bold acetate construction is enhanced by soft bevels that extend across every angle of the front, creating a refined interplay of light that adds depth to the material while visually lightening the frame. This balance between generous volumes and sophisticated finishing gives both models a distinctive architectural character without compromising comfort
This philosophy continues through the sculptural temples, where flowing, ergonomic lines are achieved through a specialised manufacturing process that enhances both aesthetics and wearability. Three signature eight-point star rivets embellish the front and temples, becoming a recognisable hallmark of the Premium Collection while reinforcing the structure of the frame. The exposed custom metal cores complete the design, featuring elegant linear engravings and Kador’s iconic sequence of engraved K motifs, transforming a functional component into a refined expression of craftsmanship.
