The SQUARE concept by J.F. REY is part of a new women’s optical collection which celebrates J.F. REY’s signature square by drawing inspiration from the geometric constructions and coloured filters of the artist, Daniel Buren. The design is said to stand out with an eye-catching design featuring innovative work in acetate, characterized by a unique structure, colour and effects of transparency. According to the company, this line embodies a creative fusion between modern art and architecture, upgrading each of the frames into a “visual work of art”.
The structured design of the temples creates a minimalist aesthetic combining elementary forms in metal and acetate, with contrasts between opaque and translucent materials, monochrome shades and patterns. Designed without temple armatures, these J.F. REY square shapes, with their bright crystalline colours, highlight the distinctive identity of the brand defined by the phrase: “In square we trust!”.
As sophisticated as they are charismatic, the sculptural look features glamorous thicknesses to create a mood that is captivating and elegant. Some holographic colours, as featured for models Scarlet 4430 and Ruby 8650, highlight a flattering effect where the new aesthetic perspectives create a “visual surprise”.
The Square concept is released with two oversized shapes – models Ruby and Scarlet – and three smaller, easy-to-wear designs: models JF1566, JF1567, and JF1568.
