IOFT 2024 takes place during FaW

The October edition of FaW TOKYO, held from October 15-17th October at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, concluded on a high note, uniting 892 exhibitors from 28 countries and attracting 21,247 visitors from 48 countries, marking another successful gathering of the global fashion community, according to the organisers. 

FaW TOKYO hosts the International Optical Fair Tokyo (iOFT), which launched a new area this season called the GLOW zone. This zone highlighted the internationally renowned eyewear brands Jean Philippe Joly, Sébastien Geslin, Gamine NYC, and Unsuikyo, showcasing their innovative and beautiful designs. The event also features the International Designers “tide” with brands from Europe, the Fukui Zone, and a luxury area where frames in high-end materials are exhibited.

IOFT 2024: Highlights from FaW Tokyo and the Japan Eyewear Awards

Adding to the event, the 28th Japan Eyewear Award celebrated excellence in both design and technology. The Design Category Grand Prix was awarded to Double Black Company Limited, while Sunreeve Co., Ltd received the Technology Category Grand Prix. In the Kids Category, Omodok took the top honour, and the Accessories Category recognised Hasegawa Bicoh Co. Ltd for ‘outstanding contributions’.

Next year the IOFT event will take place from 1st to 3rd October 2025 as part of FaW.
