Visottica Comotec, the Veneto-based manufacturer of eyewear components has announced the completion of the acquisition of 50% of Eurodecori, the Belluno company specialising in the production and processing of elements made in zamak (a zinc alloy). The agreement between the two companies includes an option for the purchase of 100% of the shares of Eurodecori. “This acquisition has a strategic value for our Group – says Rinaldo Montalban, President of Visottica Comotec – Eurodecori has an extremely specialized know-how and a wealth of precious skills that today become part of our assets and complete our market offer. We will create virtuous synergies between the different companies that are part of Visottica Comotec and we will be able to offer a more complete service to our customers”. “Thanks to a consolidated leadership in the eyewear sector and long-standing partnerships with some of the world’s biggest brands – adds President Montalban – Visottica Comotec can now provide a complete range of products for this sector and think about further diversifying its offer, enhancing its strategy of expansion towards new areas like industry, fashion, costume jewellery and giftware. The market offers new opportunities, and we are ready to seize them, with the scope of confirming ourselves as a reliable, innovative and quality partner”. For Visottica Comotec – with headquarters in Susegana (Treviso) near the heart of Italy’s important eyewear district – the acquisition of Eurodecori is a step of that expansion that began in recent years through a policy of strategic acquisitions that has led to the expansion and integration of the Group’s offer, creating a technology hub of the highest level and unique worldwide in terms of capacity and technology, according to the company. Founded in 1990 under the name of Antares, today Eurodecori is based in the industrial area of Quero Vas (Belluno) and has three production plants. Since its foundation it has specialised in the supply of elements made in zamak, an especially valuable and versatile zinc alloy. “This operation creates a partnership of great importance in which each party offers mutual added value to the other party,” says Corrado Minute, President, and founder of Eurodecori. Thanks to technological innovation and continuous research, we can offer a product that is strictly made in Italy at a truly competitive price. We are now part of a group that knows and controls the market like no other, and we are happy to offer our experience in a technological production hub of absolute excellence.”
