Karün Eyewear, the Patagonia-based eyewear brand, has announced the appointment within its European team of Egidio Schintu, in the position of country manager for Italy and support manager for Europe. Schintu offers optical experience gained in the international eyewear sector, having worked previously for several eyewear producers including Allison SpA, Area, and Mondottica Italia. Global Sales Director of Karün Eyewear, Antonio Castiglione said: “The agreement with Egidio Schintu will strengthen our European team. We are confident that his presence will help us build the Italian market and significantly increase our capability in other European countries". Schintu added: "I welcomed the proposal received from Karün Eyewear with enthusiasm, especially for the message of sustainability and innovation the brand represents; we will do a great job together". Karün Eyewear was present at this year’s MIDO show in Milan.
