CooperVision®, a global leader in contact lenses, have announced the rollout of MyDay Energys® across the United Kingdom & Ireland, introducing its most comfortable one-day contact lens ever. Designed to meet the needs of today’s visually demanding lifestyles, the premium daily disposable lens combines innovative optical design with material science to help deliver outstanding comfort throughout the day. As people spend increasing amounts of time looking at digital screens throughout the day, comfort has become one of the most important factors influencing contact lens satisfaction. While contact lens comfort is often associated with lens materials alone, research suggests that visual demands can also play an important role in the overall wearing experience.

MyDay Energys® has been developed with this broader view of comfort in mind. The lens combines CooperVision’s ComfortBoost® technology with Aquaform® Technology,4-6 working together to support comfortable, relaxed eyes throughout the day.

ComfortBoost® technology helps eyes maintain focus with less effort during everyday visual tasks. Aquaform® Technology retains water within the lens material, providing natural wettability and helping deliver incredible all-day comfort. “Comfort remains one of the most important drivers of contact lens satisfaction, and expectations continue to evolve as patients spend more time engaging with screens at work, at home and on the move,” said Lucy Davies, Director of Marketing & Professional Affairs UK & Ireland “MyDay Energys® builds on the trusted performance of the MyDay® family and introduces a new approach to comfort that considers both lens material and visual demands. We’re excited to bring this latest innovation to eye care professionals across United Kingdom & Ireland.” MyDay Energys® joins CooperVision’s established MyDay® portfolio, which includes spherical, toric, multifocal and myopia control options, helping eye care professionals meet the needs of a broad range of patients with a comprehensive daily disposable platform.
