BLACKFIN introduces AirGlass, Barberini’s polarized lens

Blackfin titanium frames are now available with Barberini’s polarized lens, AirGlass for the first time. The two Italian companies have combined their expertise to introduce a design product that pushes beyond the limits of weight, they say. Weighing just 9 grams more than the corresponding plastic lenses, the new Blackfin AirGlass are a distillation of artisan expertise and innovation.

Blackfin AirGlass lenses, with Barberini mineral glass, overcome the limitations of plastic lenses, eliminating distortion and aberrations. Blackfin Ultra-HDR technology, made possible thanks to the addition by Barberini of rare-earth elements like neodymium, praseodymium and erbium, are designed to noticeably improve the perception of colours and contrasts. Highly resistant to scratches and wear over time, the lenses also offer enhanced colour quality and clarity.
Blackfin introduces the AirGlass lenses on its new Mavericks, in the Blackfin Pacific series, a fusion of avant-garde design and cutting-edge technology. The lenses are also available on a selection of other Blackfin styles, guaranteeing the availability of the technology to a broad range of consumers.
