A$AP ROCKY and RAY-BAN at Met Gala

A$AP Rocky and Ray-Ban set a bold new standard for eyewear at the Met Gala, according to the eyewear company, with the unveiling of exclusive new sunglasses.
A one-of-a-kind Ray-Ban Wayfarer Puffer was released for the event, featuring an oversized 18K gold logo, set with natural diamonds and gemstones ranging from 0.50 to 1.30 carats, and four diamond-set rivets on the front, all handcrafted in Italy and designed exclusively for this iconic moment.
With that same attitude, following the Met Gala, A$AP Rocky’s creative collective AWGE and Ray-Ban redefined the after-party experience with the launch of the AWGE Tailor Shop at Jeans NYC, a one-night-only activation that fuses traditional craftsmanship, hip-hop spirit and futuristic fashion.
Inside a custom-built tailor shop, guests were transported to a world inspired by vintage 1940s design wearing A$AP’s never-before-seen collection: gold accents, antique millinery shapes and a wall of icons that inspire A$AP Rocky, including legendary musicians, designers and culture disruptors, framed the event. Every detail celebrated both the golden age of style and the future that Rocky continues to shape. The event was attended by Rihanna, Adut Akech, Daniel Kaluuya, Dapper Dan, Heidi Klum, Jenna Ortega, Julia Fox, Keke Palmer, Lameka Fox, Maluma, Megan Thee Stallion, Natasha Lyonne, Precious Lee, Sabrina Carpenter, Shaboozey, Saquon Barkley, Spike Lee, Suni Lee, Tracee Ellis Ross and more.
The highlight of this event was described as “an exclusive first look at A$AP Rocky’s latest release: the Wayfarer Puffer”. Reimagining the most iconic sunglass in history, Rocky infuses the design with a bold, streetwise twist. Available in June, the Wayfarer Puffer comes in black, red, white, pink, yellow, green, and blue, with amplified, puffed-up frames that blend high fashion with the signature style of hip-hop culture. Proudly displayed on vintage heads, each pair made a bold statement, seamlessly marrying the past with the present.
For this event, Rocky wore an ultra-premium version of the Wayfarer Puffer, crafted from 200 grams of 18-karat white gold and set with 60 carats of natural diamonds and red gemstones. This one-of-a-kind creation now ranks among the most expensive sunglasses ever produced in the industry.
