This season, RIGARDS marks its 10th anniversary with the presentation of ‘RIGARDS TEN’, a 10-year retrospective show, which opened on 19th December at the Yiji Gallery, Chongqing (China). The brand also announced their ‘Warm Regards’ Online Charity Auction. This anniversary event offered 10 one-off pairs of specially crafted frames, each a pinnacle of RIGARDS’s creative vision and a work of singular importance in our oeuvre. 100% of the proceeds from these sales will directly benefit Captivating International Foundation Hong Kong’s ‘One More Year’ Scholarship Program, aimed at putting girls from underprivileged families through school. Founded in 2006 by Andrew and Julie Colquhoun, Captivating has since been working with grassroots charities to help disadvantaged, impoverished children reach out for a better tomorrow.

The frames featured included RIGARDS x Royal Selangor RG1911AG .925 Sterling Silver *Pièce Unique. The star of their iconic 'Mad Scientist' series the style has a bridge based on the Hanzi and Kanji numeral for 8 (the auspicious number of infinity and abundance in cultures East and West), and an interchangeable sun-clip that converts the frame into attractive shades. Specially hand-engraved by master craftsman Gerd Neumann of fine pewter house Royal Selangor the style was a winner of a German Design Award.
