Inspired by the Highline of New York, the new collection of eyeglasses from Vanni is characterised by light metal designs with retro flair, featuring a touch of contemporary colour on the curved steel. Today, the Highline is one of the most celebrated and adored sites in New York, says the company. Constructed in the thirties to accommodate the raised railway of the city, and  then abandoned, it was only in 2008 that it was revived, and converted into a flourishing garden showcasing futuristic works of art and architecture. The new eyewear collection is described as “revitalising a taste for the past and projecting it into the future, thanks to metal work that crafts a distinct and ultra-refined look.” Just as New York represents the dynamic creativity of a metropolis, VANNI launches its line for the modern woman who steps into the new decade with style and vitality.

The new Highline collection features steel frames in classic profile with rounded steel laminate front. The rims come in galvanic tones of black, rose gold, and gold supports, as if suspended, with a rounded steel laminate brow, coloured in a solid tint or blended. Blue, pink, bordeaux, and purple hues dominate on the brow bar. The collection includes a sunglass design in which the rounded steel laminate is applied round the whole rim.
