The new Aura frames in Beta-titanium announced by Blackfin this week, are enhanced with rims derived from a colorful nylon lens. The frames are characterized by a thin structure and combine the two technical materials in a functional design offering stability and simplicity, pressure-mounting the lenses. The series includes model McDowell, a slightly squared panto shape and model Yates with softer, more rounded lines. The gradient nylon rims seem to blend seamlessly with the titanium, according to the company, and the palette of tones range from shades of green and blue to silver grey and black gold in the former; and bordeaux red, vibrant blue, brown and amber gold in the latter. All of the styles in the Blackfin Aura line are hypoallergenic, 100% bio-compatible, nickel-free and come with tilting nose pads in medical-grade PVC and adjustable, ergonomically designed Swordfish temple tips.
