French designer Nathalie Blanc is celebrating victory at Silmo 2018 for model Suzanne 253, a gold rimmed round sunglasses design, that won the award in the category entitled, “Special Jury Prize”.
Made exclusively in France, the winning design is described as a pure, delicate form, with particular care placed on every detail.
“…the award shines the spotlight on the meticulous finishing work done by the French factories to achieve an outstanding model that is both elegant and rare…”
Nathalie Blanc, an experienced qualified optician, turned to eyewear design just a few years ago in 2015, with the desire to produce “rare comfort for the complexity and individuality of each nose and face.”
Nathalie Blanc’s metal collection has, since 2017, offered elegant sleek styles laminated in 22k gold.
Each frame features a distinguished two-tone detail at the end of the temples. With overtones of the 1970s, the frames have featured a delicate flash or graduated lens and sophisticated combinations of colour. Acetate designs are also available, produced in high quality cellulose acetate and featuring Carl Zeiss sun lenses.
