New Italian eyewear label, Lightbird announces its first collection, designed by Corrado Rosson.
The brand will exhibit at opti 19, the Munich fair, this month. The collection highlights innovation using a new material called Light_matter, derived from the union of Italian acetate and a lightweight hi-tech aluminium alloy.
Light_matter is also the name given to the collection, which consists of two sunglasses and 13 prescription models – including the optical models Desert and Fox. Also a feature of the new collection is the opportunity for a link with the entire supply chain and opticians, helping them to retain their customers, according to the company.
This relationship is established through a system called Light_nest which uses an App and the reading of the unique serial number inserted in the QR code - positioned in the temple tip of each pair of glasses. Model Desert offers clean lines and a metal monochrome front, offered in four colours.
Similarly, model Fox offers a minimal look enhanced by contrasting materials – the frame is also available in four colour choices.
