Ferilli Eyewear has announced the launch of its new collection “Aéras” (“air” in Greek), available from July 2020. The collection is composed of six new models created in prickly pear wood and ebony and dedicated to the most picturesque villages of Puglia. This year, the brand hones in on the topic of lightness in the silhouette of the frame. Italian design, lightweight materials and artisanal care for details come together in a line that has been picked out for its eco-friendly focus and artisan quality. Ferilli eyewear was created in 2018 from an idea by Cristiano Ferilli, optician/orthoptist. The brand mission is to design accessories with a focus on sustainability and innovation, using ‘Sikalindi’ - a peculiar material obtained from prickly pear wood (from the south east of Italy) a material which has never been used for eyewear production previously. The label has won several awards including being selected among the best young Italian designers at the AltaRoma “Showcase” 2020.
