BOCCA, the well-loved creative eyewear concept by French designers FACE A FACE has released its newest edition this month. The design is inspired by the labyrinths of the graphic artist M. C. Escher. The detailing alludes to the artist’s individualistic work style where the top of the frames transforms into the bottom, and vice versa with “a never-ending staircase”. Two distinct frames shapes are offered in the special series: a small hexagonal shape with a geometric form, and a larger shape, as imposing as the Empire State Building, says the company. The design has been shortlisted in this year’s Silmo D’Or awards in the category “Sunglasses – Eyewear Designer”. FACE A FACE is part of Design Eyewear Group a company creating and marketing iconic eyewear brands, sold worldwide by quality opticians for more than 40 years.
