Vision of Tomorrow (VoT) - the eyewear consulting and services company led by Nora Cabrera and Fabio Ferracane presents MITA Eyewear at Mido 2020.
The name MITA combines ‘MI’ standing for Miami, home of VoT, and ‘ITA’ standing for Italy and represents a bridge between the culture of the American city and the concepts of Italian craftsmanship and design.
MITA will debut with Collezione 1, an eco-friendly eyewear collection.
The 17 optical styles and the 13 sunglasses are made from recycled and recyclable materials. The plastic designs are made from PET plastic bottles collected from the ocean, while the metal styles are made from recycled aluminum. The focus on the environment is also notable in the demo and sun biodegradable lenses, components and packaging.
"After over twenty years of experience in the industry, we are happy to launch our MITA Eyewear brand born from the concept of reshaping fashion.
Nora and I believe that the process towards a sustainable and environmentally friendly system must start now. Globally, many industries have made great steps in this direction and our sector cannot stand by. Collezione 1 was born with this philosophy," said CEO of VoT, Fabio Ferracane.
