ECO announces its new Bio Acetate glasses made with renewable materials including cotton and wood pulp. The material, which is phthalate-free, is durable and flexible, and the frames are comfortable with “the same great look and feel of traditional acetate glasses” according to the brand. They are also completely biodegradable. The line includes the Bio Acetate style model Agate, a bold new design with a thin detail cut into the upper portion of the inside frame front, creating a bit of see-through detail. Also featured is model Beryl, a cat-eye with a twist: the thicker Bio Acetate has a cut detail at the top brow. Meanwhile model Quartz is the classic square in the collection, described as “a risk-taker” with a wider Bio Acetate detail at the temple. All the frames in Bio Acetate from ECO are constructed with a screwless hidden hinge that is integrated into the frame’s front. The new designs (8 in total) come in three colour choices, while all packaging is made from recycled and sustainable materials.
