A debut collaboration for Paris Fashion Week

Cutler and Gross + Paul Smith will sell sunglasses straight from the runway, as they debut a limited edition unisex collaboration during the Paul Smith show at Paris Fashion Week on 24th June 2018.
The collaboration includes a single acetate frame design, available in eight colour options inspired by the Paul Smith spring/summer ’19 collection.
In direct reference to a central theme of the collection, the accompanying cleaning cloth will feature one of Paul’s photographs.
Produced by hand at Cutler and Gross’s Italian factory, the collaboration is a limited edition of 500 units. Cutler and Gross and Paul Smith co-branding will appear on every style and each frame will be individually numbered.
The partnership represented a chance for two celebrated British brands, with harmonious views on design, to join forces.
“I’ve always had enormous admiration for Cutler and Gross”, says Paul Smith. “Before we sadly lost him this year, Tony Gross was a personal friend of mine. The attention to detail and expertise that Tony practiced is still absolutely central to the work the company are doing today. It’s been a joy to collaborate with them.”
Marie Wilkinson, Creative Director of Cutler and Gross, echoed Paul’s words. “This has long been a conversation waiting to happen. The Cutler and Gross + Paul Smith frame has been designed to symbolise the meeting of both brands’ DNA, based on the same love of handcrafted, thoughtful design.”
Removing the traditional waiting time between fashion show and retail, this limited edition collaboration will be available to purchase instantly from and selected Paul Smith and Cutler and Gross shops.
The Cutler and Gross + Paul Smith 0890 collaboration will be debut at the SS19 Paul Smith show at Paris Fashion Week on Sunday, June 24th. /
