British luxury brand Cutler and Gross celebrate their 50th anniversary with a new collection of optical frames and sunglasses. Consisting of twenty six new colourways, the Autumn/Winter ‘19 collection captures the mood of the brand’s founding year, 1969, and some of the vivid moments and memories from its five decade long history.
A brand of the future with an exceptional past is the theme weaved throughout the new season, as vintage-inspired designs sit alongside sharp, modern silhouettes. Each meticulously designed and handcrafted using refined, up to the minute techniques. Whilst the contrasting imagery, shot in black and white, is reminiscent of much of the photography from fifty years earlier. Style Director, Marie Wilkinson said: “We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate our 50th anniversary with this collection full of bold designs and colour. We have immersed ourselves in our archive, taking lots of inspiration from late 60’s and 70’s, with contemporary updates and the most refined technologies.
We have had so much fun naming the new colours, which all make reference to the year 1969.”
