Launched at SILMO, the new line of sunglasses and optical frames from UK brand Cutler and Gross includes models 1321 and 1305, two styles that are representative of the classic look of the brand where new refined details continue to be a key focus.
Model 1321, an upswept acetate with contrasting laminated hooded brows gives a new feel to the classical cat’s eye for women, now an important shape that will continue in 2019.
“Custom-designed and handmade in Italy, Cutler and Gross have been eyewear pioneers since 1969, having always prided themselves on creating fashion forward frames alongside classic shapes...” Sculptured thick acetate is the essence of model 1305, a frame that returns to the collection in fresh new colours. This classic shape with a luxurious polished finish offers notable, individualistic styling while reminiscing in classic eyewear silhouettes of the past.
All frames are hand crafted in Cutler and Gross’ eponymous factory in Cadore, Italy, from the finest Italian acetate and high-grade metals featuring hand-riveted hinges and UV400 lenses. The importance of the artisanal creation of each pair of glasses remains one of the essences of the brand, with each frame taking 12 weeks to produce.
