\\ brand: TOM FORD

Iconic wrap reemerges

Model FT0903 – Cheyenne offers a brand new take on Tom Ford’s distinctive infinity frame, revisited with a wraparound construction. The oversize butterfly shape lends character and a feminine appeal to the sunglasses. The iconic ‘T’ metal logo and tapered temples complement the design.
The style is part of a collection of four new designs, dedicated to the female universe for Autumn/Winter 2021. Two sunglasses (Carine-02 and Cheyenne above) interpret the New Infinity Story revealing the brand’s essence, seen in a new light.  The wraparound and crossover front, which perfectly reproduces the infinity symbol, celebrates the strong and inimitable power of women.

Total glamour

Model Hybride XVII by small French artisan label Plein Les Mirettes is part of a woman’s line which is colourful and and full of statement designs, mixing heritage with contemporary details designed especially for women. French creator Christophe Morcamp is the designer behind this upbeat collection which is made in France in a traditional factory in Normandy. The brand aims to uphold the traditions of handcrafted eyewear with a modern and audacious style that celebrates the female spirit.

\\ brand: LOOL EYEWEAR

Art Deco inspo

Model Nuki (S2A) is from the Deco Series by Barcelona label, LOOL Eyewear. The frame is inspired by New York and Miami Art Deco and is built in one piece from a durable and lightweight piece of stainless steel, with no welds or screws. The three colour choices of Black, Grey or Peach are individual and original and the decorative elements are both sophisticated and luxurious. Lool is well known for its architectural style, and in the Deco Series this mood is enhanced by cheerful colours and a strong feminine and glamorous design style.

\\ brand: FACE À FACE

Miami inspo

Sensuality and the feel of a glorious holiday is the feeling behind the sunglass style Bocca Palma1 in the iconic BOCCA range! Warm and enveloping the BOCCA Palmas are inspired by the architecture of 1950s Florida as if straight out of a film shot along Miami’s famous beach front. The art deco spirit plays alongside the floral motifs to geometrically emulate nature: the frame edge emerges like a bud, whilst the eyeglass itself opens up like a palm tree branch, according to the brand. The large panto with a softened square shape merges the vintage spirit with expressive colours of pearly grey-blue, palm green, fluo pink and lagoon green – a chic expression of the “dolce vita”!

\\ brand:  ØRGREEN

Candy colour obsession

Model Peaches is described as a modern take on a classic cat-eye with an array of colour combinations that suit even the most eccentric personalities. The frame’s flamboyant expression offers style and cosmopolitan attitude, and the colour choices are expressive from almost black and violet and clear nude + black/clear pattern. Peaches is inspired by the wine gum of the same name! The style is one of  five new additions in the acetate line at Ørgreen Optics, designed for the fashion-conscious female who demands quality, variety, modern looks and expression.

\\ brand:  EOE EYEWEAR

An eco-friendly 'carved object'

From a line that reflects environmental thinking and craft as two core values, EOE Eyewear’s ‘carved object’ model has surfaces inspired by carving techniques, and natural uneven surfaces of rocks and minerals like marble. The colour range is earthy with accents of rusty tones and burnt umbra hues. Model Jo is an oversized square sunglass design for women with colour variants that include the elegant honey wood finish. The design is made from eco-friendly biodegradable acetate and a combination of wood and cotton pulp that is free from petroleum and pthalates.

\\ brand:  VANNI

Cellulose acetate refined

Blade by Vanni Eyewear is created from a block of cellulose which has been exclusively designed and produced for the Vanni collection. The pattern appears to come from a process that slices the material into minuscule parts, and subsequently compacts the thousands of pearlescent-hued pieces in a transparent background. A precise, contemporary colour palette brings tones of anthracite grey, brown, intense red, purple and emerald green, with creative pairings that are as sharp as the edges of the acetate slab they come from. “The shape of the eyeglasses is intentionally feminine, full and graphic with the exclusive block material merging into a natural toned tortoiseshell base” says the brand.

Always modern in acetate

Model EK8021 from the Paris label offers a new design from Eva Gaumé who leads the brand’s creative direction today. For winter 21/22, the designer finds a balance between the respectful portrayal of heritage with a strong approach towards contemporary expression and a style that makes eyewear indispensable for those who desire an elegant form of dress. In the collection, the work in colour and materials is emblematic of the style of the iconic female designer Emmanuelle Khanh and her unique style with the addition of a strong and architectural design language for a modern day twist.
