William Morris London has announced an exclusive collaboration with the world-renowned art organisation and namesake of the eyewear company, William Morris Gallery. An event to celebrate the launch took place in early September in Walthamstow, East London at the former home of the artist who is best known as the founder member of the Arts & Crafts movement but was also an accomplished poet, painter and craftsman.
The guests invited to the eyewear preview were able to see the collection for the first time and tour the Gallery, William Morris’ previous home where he lived for 8 years.
The Gallery Collection frames are carefully crafted from metal with acetate highlights, along with elegant design details that reflect the individual classic prints.
A percentage of the sale of every item in the collection will be donated to the William Morris Gallery to help it to continue its important work of art preservation and education.
Launching at SILMO in September, the Gallery Collection will also offer a stunning range of point of sale materials for optician’s windows featuring the iconic strawberry thief print.
