RX Japan Ltd. and Fukui Optical Association present the 35th edition of the International Optical Fair Tokyo (iOFT). The event will be held on 18-20 October, 2022 at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan. Regarded as the leading optical trade fair for the Japanese market, the fair brings together the latest eyewear and related products from all over the world. International visitors and exhibitors are expected to be back at this year's iOFT, the organisers have confirmed. They stated that even during the pandemic, iOFT went ahead in 2020 and 2021. This year, a large number of Japanese regional buyers are expected to visit iOFT. The fair is now targeting 10,000 visitors and plans to invite 50 premium buyers from China, Taiwan, Korea, India, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Israel, etc. with supporting VISA for them. 230 exhibitors are confirmed to take part in the fair this year. Due to the easing of travel restrictions by the Japanese government, international designers are returning. They include Jean Philippe Joly (France), FACE A FACE (France), Traction (France), J.F. REY (France), VOLTE FACE (France), LAFONT PARIS (France), Prodesign (Denmark), OPTICALIA GLOBAL HOLDING (Spain), IOVES (Italy), and TONYSAME (Japan/Hong Kong) and other well-known companies. iOFT will open with the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony with leaders from major retailers, wholesalers, association members, and buyers in the eyewear industry who express their full support for the event. The Japan Eyewear Award, considered one of the industry's leading prizes and awarded for the best design/technological new products to be marketed in Japan, will be announced at the Award Ceremony on the first day of the show.
