Reed Exhibitions Japan and Fukui Optical Association held the 32nd edition of Asia’s leading optical fair - INTERNATIONAL OPTICAL FAIR TOKYO (IOFT) at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan from 8-10 October, 2019.
The event was enthusiastically received by national and international business-focused visitors during a period of 3 days. Also, overall, 370 exhibitors and 74,000 products from 20 countries were showcased across the exhibition halls. Business results were encouraging owing to an increase in the number of exhibitors.
Major brands from both Japan and international markets exhibited such as LINDBERG, J.F.Rey, Henau, Lafont (IWAKI), THEO, Frost, William Morris London, Delirious, Boston Club, Marchon, Aoyama Optical, and Murai.
Firms from the largest eyewear production region of Japan “Fukui” were also participating to showcase their made-in-Japan frames. They included Onbeat, Raincoat, Eyetec and Sanko Kogaku.

Special showcase gallery areas including, “Sunglasses collections 2019-2020” exhibited the latest trends from various brands. This gallery allows buyers and the media to admire and compare the latest collections from the Japanese and international markets. This popular showcase area was set up with 160 brands on show.
This year’s show was a reflection of the recovering and uplifting atmosphere of the Japanese eyewear market, according to the organisers. Following on from this year’s success, there is already an increase in numbers of booth reservations for the next edition and the overall scale is expected to expand.
IOFT 2020 will take place on 27-29th October 2020 at Tokyo Big Sight (Aomi Exhibition Hall), Japan.
