The 27th edition of the HKTDC
Hong Kong International Optical Fair presents a trade platform that puts exhibitors in prime position to connect with global buyers, according to the organisers. In 2018, the event attracted 16,800 buyers from 111 countries with a 4% rise in buyer attendance on the previous year. 810 exhibitors were featured, the highest number ever in the history of the fair.
Events include a seminar series offering insight on technological innovations and market forecasts. The Hong Kong International Optometric Symposium presents experts and speakers discussing key topics.

Brand Name Gallery

In 2018, the Brand Name Gallery, one of the highlights of the fair each year, featured more than 225 international renowned brands in 2018, including Charmant, CLASSICO, Etnia Barcelona, ic! berlin, Lafont, Markus-t, MATSUDA and MINIMA. Several eyewear parades were staged at the fair, where models showcased the latest collections of trendsetting eyewear brands.

The 16th Hong Kong Optometric Conference 

The 16th Hong Kong Optometric Conference 2018, with the theme “The Contemporary Role of Optometrists in Primary Care”, explored hot optometry issues such as gene therapy for vision restoration and artificial intelligence (AI) computing for health-risk prediction. The two-session conference attracted more than 1,000 participants.
Building on last year’s reviews and business, Hong Kong Optical Fair will take place from 6 – 8th November 2019 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.
