EXPOÓPTICA 2022: an enthusiastic return reported in Madrid

ExpoÓptica closed its 33rd edition with optimistic results for the Optometry and Audiology sectors in the region. A total of 6,456 visitors attended the fair, held from the 1st to 3rd April in Hall 9 at IFEMA MADRID. The organisers say that the event was a success after a break of two years of pandemic, and that they had come close to the physical number of visitors recorded in 2018, year when the sector was in good health. In addition to the in-person visitors, good numbers were recorded for the digital event. Over double the number of users (50,000) entered the official trade fair website to see what was new and find out about the event, generating over double the number of sessions compared to the last edition, and tripling the number of views of the ExpoÓptica 2022 website (over 150,000). The digital strategy was boosted by industry influencers, such as Mirella Paricio, a microinfluencer and an industry professional with 20k followers on Instagram. The trade fair took place alongside the OPTOM Congress on Optometry, Contactology and OphthalmicOptics and the forums dedicated to Optometry, sponsored by Temática Software, and ExpoAudio.
