The 18th Daegu International Optical Show (diops 2019), one of the three major optical shows in Asia, took place in April this year. A record 11,457 visitors including around 1,600 overseas buyers from more than 31 countries visited the fair. This year, diops secretariat attracted more than 30 new young-generation companies and design brands through the government support program. Feedback from visitors confirmed that diops 2019 has progressed significantly and allowed them to find the new optical products that exhibitors presented with the goal of demonstrating unique and stylish design during the show. Visitors enjoyed unique eyewear design, products, ideas and various programs. On the last day of diops 2019, diops secretariats announced that “diops Awards” final winner, MUZIK won this competition and gained “Grand Prix” prize. 7 outstanding brands had competed with their designs, brand concept, products and also booth concepts. “diops Awards” will be prepared to expand its competition for next year. In the hope of discovering enthusiasm for new design trends and cutting-edge technology seen in diops 2019, diops secretariat will host the 19th Daegu International Optical Show (diops 2020) from 8th to 9th April 2020.
