First collection launched in Monaco

The first Berluti eyewear collection, produced in a collaboration with Thélios, has been launched in France at an event in Monaco. The Beach Capsule and Sunglasses collections, which were prominently featured in Kris Van Assche’s inaugural fashion show for the fashion brand, were presented to press and special guests at the Royal Riviera Hotel, Monaco in April. The attendees also visited the Berluti Monaco store prior to attending a dinner organised to celebrate the special launch.

In the main sunglasses collection, six different models have been inspired by Berluti’s signature patina, the traditional technique for colouring leather. This season this process is reinterpreted by Kris Van Assche, taking on a new light and a wealth of colour including red, yellow, blue and green hues which saturate garments and accessories as well as eyewear.

Berluti was established in Paris in 1895 and has been built by four generations of shoemakers. In 2005 fine leather goods were introduced and, in 2011, a complete clothing collection. A unique bespoke service from head to toe is now available through Berluti’s workshops in rue Marbeuf and rue de Sèvres. Berluti now has over 50 stores worldwide.
